2014 SMALL GROUP TRAINING

ABOUT SMALL GROUPS

Small group sessions are open to all PSV Union FC players seeking to improve various aspects of their game in addition to regular team practice sessions and games. Many of our players choose this open to further develop and hone their technical skills and improve their game insights. The focus of these session include, but are not limited to:

Individual Technical Training

Development and repetition of a variety of techniques (dribbling, passing, receiving, shooting, speed of footwork, etc.) is essential to helping players improve their capabilities and make a positive impact in the game.

Collective Training

Learning sophisticated combination play between several players takes lots of repetition and the chance to attempt the movements, timing, insights, intuition and reactions in multiple player situations.

Small Sided Games

This encourages more touches on the ball, greater interaction between players, and the opportunity to practice certain techniques and movements in pressure situations that translate well to many of the situations players face in full field games.

Shooting/Striking

* surfaces-bending, chipping, full/half/side volley, instep, placing
* input and output' - contact point
* improve rotation/power/placement involving use of arms, hips, commitment step

Other areas covered.
