PSV Union provides a local solution to a national objective of developing high caliber national team and college players, something that PSV has 'lived' for the since its beginning in 2003. PSV is based in the heart of Silicon Valley in a region that encompasses the ‘Peninsula' region of Silicon Valley, a 35-mile stretch of the most resource (funding and facilities) and soccer rich regions in the country within 5 minutes of Stanford University, 20 miles south of San Francisco Airport to the North and 20 miles North of San Jose Airport. Our multi location/field facilities are located within a short bike ride and drive from one another and located next to downtown Stanford and Palo Alto. This enables players and families easy and prompt access to fields allowing increase practice times. Decreasing excessive travel time allows players to focus on academics and quality family time. The field proximity allows players to also arrive early and stay late creating an impromptu culture whereby players take responsibility for their own individual practice in their neighborhood. A growing population and thus player base combined with an educated and resourceful demographic with high soccer IQ is creating more demand for fields, however, PSV Union can satisfy the demand for facilities and boasts brand new turf lighted facilities. Even with the new facilities at its disposal, PSV still uses its 3 grass fields within mins. of the turf field location. These grass fields are among the best in the region where we have hosted USSDA events as well as National Training Centers (3 occasions) as well as state PDP, Id2 and other identification platform events. With a growing population and subsequent increasing traffic congestion this is challenging players and families to remain closer to home and focus on meaningful practices, games and dedication of free time to studies.
